Terms and Conditions
These terms govern the purchase and use of VINWise vehicle-history reports and multi-check packs.
Last updated 15 September 2026The service
VINWise supplies informational vehicle reports based on records available from specialist third-party data providers. Coverage varies by vehicle and source. The service is not a substitute for inspecting the vehicle, checking the VIN and V5C, reviewing service documents, obtaining seller warranties or commissioning a mechanical inspection.
Your responsibilities
You must enter the correct registration, use the report lawfully, protect private report and pack links, and independently verify important findings before relying on them.
Payments and delivery
Stripe processes payment. A report is generated after successful payment confirmation. Multi-check packs provide the stated number of checks and unused credits expire after the period shown at purchase.
Customer accounts
Purchases made with the same verified email are grouped into My VINWise. You may use a password or a single-use email link to access saved reports and remaining credits. You are responsible for protecting your email account, password and signed-in devices.
Data limitations
Records can be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. VINWise does not claim affiliation with DVLA, DVSA, HPI or any government body. A “clear” result means no relevant marker was returned by the available source at the time of the check; it is not a guarantee that no issue exists.
Permitted use
Reports are licensed for the purchaser’s personal or internal business decision-making. You may not resell, scrape, systematically reproduce or use the service to build a competing database without written permission.
Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to applicable consumer law, VINWise is not responsible for indirect loss, lost profit or a purchase decision made without reasonable independent verification.
Support and complaints
Contact support@vinwise.uk with support requests or complaints. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and provide a clear outcome after reviewing the relevant order and report records.
